Birds of a Feather

I received a book on backyard bird feeding to add to my collection and it got me thinking about all the birds I can't wait to watch out for this spring. Last summer is when I first started really paying attention to everything flying around and perched in trees and on fence posts. The following is my wish list:

Shrike
Pileated woodpecker
Meadowlark
Cormorant
hear a Whip-Poor-Will
Scarlet tanager
Indigo bunting

And, these are birds I think I've seen while driving or that flew away too quickly. I'd like another chance to confirm:

Red headed woodpecker
Various herons/egrets
Wood duck
Kestrel
Killdeer
Gray Partridge
Golden-crowned kinglet
Yellow warbler (m)
